Greece & The Islands are for lovers...and archeology hunters.

Sometimes it seems the whole place has been devistated, many times. The Greeks care more for their past than fixing the horrible traffic problems today. Flying into Athens, you are struck with the mass of apartments covering every hill. A quick couple of days to see the Acropolis and the Plaka, and you are ready to find a quiet beautiful island with just you and the sea. Because of distances, you can fly between some. Others are ferry transfers from Pireus.

There are 3 sections to the Greek seas: The Aegean, the Cretan, and the Ionian seas. Some are more populated and more touristy than others. History is everywhere you travel. Depending on the purpose of your trip, you may want to visit more than one.

Everywhere you look is the beautiful blue sea that contrasts with the white-washed buildings. The islands are really rocks sticking out of the water, but many have beaches. Some are sandy, others pebbly. Some have small accommodations and others have 5* resorts. Fishing villages with wonderful local food and wine are everywhere. Sit in a cafe and meet the locals. No one is in a hurry.

Cruise ships stop at many for a day: Santorini, Crete, Rhodes, Mykonos, Patmos, Crete and Corfu. These will give you a taste and you will want to come back to explore some more. The best time of year is spring and fall up to the end of Oct. After that, it gets cold and the islands close up shop. Call me to get you into a wonderful memorable adventure.
